Most of us had a special educator in our lives,a teacher, tutor, mentor or coach, who made a difference. They put us on the right track. They helped us when we needed it. They supported our failures and cheered our successes. They made sure that we able to read, write and succeed in school and life.
On September 27 and 28, The READ Center will honor and recognize READ Center teachers and tutors who support our students in their learning and their lives. Learning to read as an adult is hard work. Teaching adults to read takes patience, compassion, literacy skills and humor.
On behalf of The READ Center Board of Directors, management and all of our students who benefit from your commitment, Thank You for all you do!!
Please join the READ Center in honoring our teachers and tutors with a donation to the Rai$e for READ in memory or honor of that special educator who made a difference in your life. If you give us their contact information, we will let your honoree or their families know that you thought of them. Think how much it will mean to them to know they made a difference in your life.
Your support will help the READ Center continue to provide adult literacy students with great educational programs and with wonderful teachers and tutors who make a lasting and loving difference.
