Thank you READ Center Volunteers!

Volunteers come to The READ Center because of their love of reading and their desire to help people in their community. They stay because of the passion they develop for helping people achieve their literacy goals and the relationships they develop with READ students.

“I have done literacy tutoring in the past and it was one of the most fulfilling things I have ever done.” – Joshua
“I have a strong desire to spread the love of reading and writing to as many people as possible. I love to share this passion.” – Corrine
“I strongly believe that reading is a fundamental skill, and learning to read at any age can open doors to the learner.” – Sherry
“When people start to learn, they feel much better about themselves. One often sees a very different person emerge. I enjoy that.” – Carol

Last year more than 150 volunteers gave more than 6,800 hours of time and caring. The READ Center gratefully recognizes and thanks past and present volunteers – board members, tutors, testers, office volunteers and more. Thank you for all you have done and for all you continue to do.
